An exhibition by the Monacensia in the Hildebrandhaus – Digital in Arts in Exile
For the first time, the Monacensia in the Hildebrandhaus is devoting an entire exhibition to the life and work of Erika Mann (1905–1969), the eldest daughter of Katia and Thomas Mann. Since its launch in Munich in October 2019, the exhibition has been put on display at other locations including the German National Library in Frankfurt; it is expected to open at the Goethe Institute in Prague in 2021. The concept of the physical exhibition is reflected in a virtual counterpart that likewise focuses on Erika Mann’s tireless advocacy of freedom and democracy.
We would like to thank the patron of the exhibition, Prof. Dr. Frido Mann.
