Epilog

And where... did I belong? ... to everyone who in this war stands for freedom and decency and is against the unspeakable. ... Because ultimately we belong to the new, brighter world that we want, that we are in truth fighting for... One world – just one, moderately sized world that has space for everyone but not for everything. And what does it definitely have no space for? The word is flat, and we preferred to avoid it. But it is unavoidable. What this word stands for has shrouded the Earth in smoke and flame and must be shunned in keeping with the laws of the new world. The word is nationalism!
